A source checklist for Android APK files

A source checklist for Android APK files

This checklist sits next to our NB9 APK page. It is written so you can print it or keep it in notes. It is not a download path.

Source

  • Do you know the organisation that published the file?
  • Does the page show a physical or editorial contact that you can verify another way?
  • Is the same file hash published in more than one place you already trust?

Device

  • Is Play Protect still on?
  • Did you read every permission line, not only the first one?
  • Is there enough storage so the installer is not unpacking into a messy cache?

After you decline

Declining a file is a valid outcome. This website will not offer a “mirror” because you said no. If you need a longer editorial view of how we cover the topic, open How we cover NB9 updates for readers in India.
